Origin started to act weird and it set my status to invisible mode automatically when idle for few minutes. And after being set to Invisible automatically it can't be change back to Online status. Nothing happens when clicking Online status and the only way to change it back is to toggle Away status first then set it to Online. I've already reinstalled Origin twice but no good.
I'm glad i'm not the only one. EXCACT same probelm as you dude. When im a few minutes on idle my status goes from "online " to "invisible", and I can't go back online. But it gets even more weird. When I am "in-game" with apex Legeneds, it goes randomly to "invisible" mode as well. Also if you decide to go "invisble" with your status, your game status will go back to "in game" as well, so vice versa. It started a couple days ago I think, because my friends said I was offline, but Origin just set my status to "invisible" by itself. When did it start for you? And what are your PC specs if I may ask?
Potentially the same problem here.. seems to have started approx. a week ago, although it's hard to tell since I've only noticed the issue from people on my friends list starting to comment how I keep going invisible/reconnecting, despite my connection in Apex and Discord staying up.
Tried reinstalling Origin, clearing the cache files, running as local admin, and resetting Internet Explorer settings.. whitelisted Origin.exe and OriginClientService.exe from the firewall...
One thing I noticed is that even if I can get the Origin client to say I'm online, the origin web site says I'm Invisible (https://www.origin.com/can/en-us/profile/achievements). I wonder if, somehow, the web status is overriding the client status. But I haven't found any way to manage the web status.
I have the same problem. I use Task Master to End Task Origin and then restart it and that generally works, HOWEVER, when I now do this is is now telling me only one version of Origin can be used. It will not log off line nor log on line. Had enough of this rubbish with Origin!!!!
Yes it is really weird, i think it has something to do with the latest update from origin, which was like 1 or 2 weeks ago.

Similarly, Origin continuously takes me off of invisible automatically.
However, I found that if I don't use my microphone in game, my status does not change. If I use it even once, the status changes to online, and then will randomly swap me back and forth at will for the duration of the session. I only play Apex Legends.
I have seen this issue come up constantly in forums, so something must be done. I generated a Diag report and sent it to them, explaining my discovery. Try not using the mic and see if it stops swapping you as well. I'm curious to know. This is obviously not a fix, because using a mic in Apex is essential sometimes, but for me, it will have to do temporarily, as I often need to remain invisible while playing, for personal reasons.

I have the same problem and it is very annoying.
My status keep getting Online/Offline to my friends and some of my friends are having the issue as well as I can see similar issue from my perspective as their status poping offline/online all the time.
Origin friendlist is so buggy that even when I disconnect my friends still see me Online for a while.
It's been weeks like this, is this issue been addressed yet?

Another symptom that both I and another user with this issue have had is that Origin Friends will have a status change notifier pop up in the lower right corner of my screen saying, "BazzFazz has gone offline," and then right below that will be another notifier that says, "BazzFazz is playing MoneyGrabber 4: Championship Edition" Usually these two will be topped with another notifier saying something like "ShimSham has gone offline"
Then those three will disappear, and another three will follow, starting with "ShimSham is now playing Mumbledy-peg,"
During all this, I will be able to text with BazzFazz and ShimSham about the game I JUST logged out of (expecting to be able to jump back in) and how they see me as Offline.
I have corrected it by logging out of the game I had been playing (Mass Effect: Andromeda); the Friends window will suddenly let me join the games of my Friends.
The names have been changed to protect the innocent.
Jup i see that as well, my friend's playing apex legends and suddenly goed offline and instanly above says "playing ape legends" or " playing bf1". EA has to respond yet to this issue...
@CDR_S_ShepardBtw, origin has now chat history. I noticed when i look back older chats from a day ago i sent to a friend, the profile picture of my friend is showing as well on my profile picture in the chat. Sometimes when i chat with another guy, my profile picture is showing on his profile picture in the chat, so vice versa. Can you check this as well?
