Summarize your bug My friend and I are unable to play co-op franchise. We have tried reinstalling the game and nothing happens. We have tried from different load up screens and still nothing. We had a franchise that we had on year 3 and we don’t want to lose it.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Whenever we join each other party we can not play a game
What happens when the bug occurs? The other player is stuck on the Home Screen while the other player is still loading into the game
What do you expect to see? No sound at all and one player stuck at Home Screen and the other one stuck at loading into a game

Apologies for the delay, a few things with your attached images.
Do they own a copy of SMB4 or access via EA play?
First, the screenshot your friend gets is because the game requires an Xbox online subscription to access multiplayer features (you can see that in 2nd screenshot on the games store page).
If they do not currently sub to GamePass Core or GamePass Ultimate they will need to do so to access multiplayer features for most online games.

Second to confirm you don't own a copy of SMB4 on your account, its access via their account?
Are you playing from your console are trying to play at the same time as they are on their console (your friend's console)?
If you are trying to play from their copy or from the copy they have via a subscription like EA play, then that might be the culprit as they would have access to the game's full features but yours may be limited.
Gameshare is not something EA created or has visibility over, so you would want to speak with Xbox support if they are allowed to share the full game or if there might be limited access. If so we wouldn't be able to help you play together without your account having its own access to the game.
