EasyAnticheat does not support bypassing I/O.

This error is most likely caused by a feature that was implemented in Windows 11, called BypassIO, which optimizes and speeds up file reads on your storage disk, but as a downside flags EAC to shut down the game. 

A common bug are the sudden crashes to the desktop with no error message.

Checking the Windows Event Viewer shows the following error message:

File System Filter 'EasyAntiCheat_EOSSys' (Version 10.0, <u+200e>2025<u+200e>-<u+200e>03<u+200e>-<u+200e>28T19:10:53.000000000Z) does not support bypass IO. Supported features: 0x4.

The reason I am calling this feature to be the cause of the crashes, is because I used to play Apex Legends on my old pc with zero crashes. Note that this was done on a Samsung 970 EVO NMVe 3.0 drive, which does not support the operating system's IO Path optimizations. I recently upgraded my pc, including the disk drive to a Samsung 990 EVO Plus Nvme 4.0 and the crashes to the desktop are happening consistently withing 1-2 games of playing Apex Legends.  Reason? Version 4.0 of the drive automatically enables the BypassIO feature in Windows 11.

A solution is to wait for either Windows 11 to fix this issue or ask EAC to come up with a solution to support this feature to prevent at least the given errors in the event viewer and determine whether this is the ultimate cause of the crashes (which I am pretty sure of it).

As an alternative you could try to run your games on a older drive (which doesn't support BypassIO), but one could make the argument that downgrading hardware is not a proper solution to the problem while games are upgrading graphics and such.
