Figured I'd try to play again tonight. Made it about fifteen minutes into a game, and another system crash that took over an hour to load back into Windows.
Played Diablo 4 on Ultra settings for about seven hours yesterday, and no problem.
Here's another dxdiag from when I got my computer back up and running tonight.
HI @MetalFrogNY Can we try the following if you have not yet to see if there is any difference?
- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
- EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Default your game to the high-performance GPU, AMD Settings | Nvidia Settings | Windows Settings
- Guide for Troubleshooting Graphics issues
- Install/Repair your VC++ files for SMB4
- Remove any over-clocking or undervolt settings or software and check if the issue continues.
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
Cheers!

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll work my way through the list and report back.

Windows Update has nothing to give me.
Video card is at latest release.
SFC found no errors/replaced no files.
Verified file integrity through Steam, all 7,000+ files were good.
Nothing is set to overclock in my system.
I cannot find a VC folder within the SMB4 folder where Steam installs the game. I manually found, uninstalled/reinstalled six different VC packages I found in my installed applications.
Setting the game quality to the preset of low, medium, or high graphics settings still causes a crash.
System temperatures are well within normal limits at the time of crashes.
I have run the game with no other applications open, with the second monitor disconnected for giggles, and it still fails.
Game still dies within half an hour of playing. Diablo 4 on Ultra settings (with full screen video playing on another screen) still going strong for hours at a time...
I'm baffled. This game doesn't seem like it should be so demanding, and it doesn't really appear to be based upon my temp read outs. CPU at 60 C, gpu at 45 C seems pretty average (I think photoshop pushes the system a little harder honestly). Clearly something is misconfigured on my end, or the game has an unknown error that keeps recurring.

Hi @MetalFrogNY Apologies for the delay. Would it be possible to get a DxDiag?

I posted a copy of my dxdiag dump back in post 2.
Since I've opened this support topic, my computer has gone through some hardware changes. My motherboard was showing a qcode that either means the memory is having read/write issues, or the PSU is failing and sending inconsistent voltage.
I ran hours-long memory tests on each individual stick and nothing came back but I swapped out the PSU and it was still happening, so I also replaced the RAM and things have been okay. /shrug/
My best guess is that one of my sticks of RAM was going and it just happened to coincide with SMB4 releasing and me trying to play it. I don't have any explanation as to why D4 was fine all the way through, but It's probably circumstantial.
Thank you for trying to help.
