This is the weirdest thing I've seen any game do, and the game is so new that there's no info on something like this.
My game got stuck on an infinite save screen after a race but I could hear the replay in background, then the game crashed. It's gets weirder when the crash log file is completely empty. The real problem is when I go to start the game up again. I get to the start screen, it says it failed to load a save and asks to retry. I retried a couple of times, so I checked to see if the save is even there and it's gone! There's no option to create a new save, it only gives me the option to quit the game. I've done a full reinstall and still no luck.
I actually like this game, so this a major bummer and I wish I didn't have to start over, but it seems like I have no choice.

Depending on platform, check the steps below to hopefully resolve this, thanks.
PS4: boot in Safe Mode and Rebuild Database: https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/support/hardware/safe-mode-playstation/
Steam: verify file integrity: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB
Origin: Right click the game in Origin and choose Repair.

I've already verified the file integrity before and after I reinstalled the game. Steam said there's no files that failed either times. I'm really confused because there has to be something wrong with the game, but I'm not sure what.

@ShockapowI just found out that it's all Codemasters' games I own that are having this problem

I can't say for certain that "Rebuilding the Database" worked, since my PS4 would not perform the specific function of rebuilding the database. So, I reinitialized my PS4 and reinstalled the OS, then reinstalled the game, and then downloaded my saved data from PSPlus. This worked. Thanks.

It's actually upsetting that I can't play games that I've owned for years (any of the Dirt, F1, or Grid games) at all, because I can't load or save in those games. With no apparent fix, almost half of the games I regularly play are unplayable, and by extension, unrefundable, something completely unacceptable for one game to do.

@ShockapowI found a fix for my problem. You have to go to the folder where your save files are (C:\Users\your profile\Documents\My Games) and go to file properties. Go to Attibutes, click Read-only and hit apply. If it already has Read-only ticked, untick it. It will "apply", but when you go to check the folder properties, it should still be ticked. You should be able play GRID Legends and all other Codemaster games again.
