Grid Legends has been offline for 2 days now. Says "You require an active EA account to play Grid Legends online"
My EA account is linked correctly and other EA games (like Need for Speed) connect online with no issues. GRID Legends is the only game that says: “You are required an active EA account to play online.” I have already: - Cleared Alternate MAC Address - Cleared Persistent Storage - Fully power‑cycled my Xbox - Quit and relaunched the game - Unlinked and re‑linked my Xbox account on EA.com.
The issue is on your guys end...

No, it hasn't been solved, at least not on Xbox. Strange that a new problem (even if it is reoccurring) is being redirected to an old post, without a solution... GRID Legends still says that you have to link the game with an EA account or create a new one. You can't do any of this. After tree times trying the game says it can’t connect. It's now four days…

I searched typing the following in Google search today Tuesday 24-2-2026:
Why isn't EA saying anything about grid legends being offline!?
Response from Google search: As of February 2026,
GRID Legends is experiencing widespread, persistent "You're Not Connected" server issues, but Electronic Arts (EA) has not officially acknowledged a permanent shutdown for this specific title.
Based on recent user reports, here is why you likely haven't seen an official announcement:
Temporary Server Disruptions vs. Permanent Shutdown: While other, older Codemasters games (like GRID 2, GRID 2019, and DiRT titles) have confirmed shutdowns on March 16, 2026, GRID Legends (released 2022) is still meant to be active. Reports suggest these are ongoing, unacknowledged server instability issues rather than a planned closure.
EA's Communication Gap: Users are reporting that the game has been failing to connect on both console and PC since at least mid-February 2026, with little to no official word from EA support channels.
Widespread "Cleanup" Trending: EA has been actively closing servers for many older titles, which may be causing a "silent" neglect of GRID Legends as resources are shifted elsewhere.
What you can do:
Play Offline: Players have reported that despite the "not connected" error on launch, the game remains fully playable in offline mode, allowing access to career mode and other single-player content.
Check Forums: The best, though sometimes slow, source of information is the EA Forums where players are currently documenting the issues.
Note: The official EA Online Services Shutdown list currently highlights older games, not GRID Legends, for March 2026.

This is incredible, I can't believe a company could do this. It's funny and depressing at the same time.
