For some reason on the Xbox version, when you take your foot off the gas there’s some crazy auto slowdown. Video here (sorry for lack of sound)https://youtu.be/70-1I9DdwxYYou can see there are no brake lights and the slow down is very quick. Then I do the same with braking, and it’s quicker (which is right) but without braking feels too fast. A friend checked on the PS5 version, and it does exactly what I’d expect it to, video here: https://youtu.be/cS_8OQ2f3KY I assume it’s something wrong with the Xbox version, I can’t find any settings (there aren’t many to choose from), so not sure what’s going on? Safe to say I won’t be buying the full version as it’s kind of not working properly.

Hey everyone! Thanks a lot for the additional info. We can confirm that we've found the source of the issue and have fixed it for a future update. Unfortunately, it won't be making the next patch that is planned to drop later this week, however, it will be in the one after that. In the meantime, when playing the game for the first time, after the initial race you'll be asked to select a difficulty setting. Choosing any setting other than 'Medium' will avoid this issue from occurring. There's no way of fixing this in the settings after this point, but once that new patch is in you should stop seeing this problem.

@MattKB1982 I am also having this issue. Playing on a Series X with a standard controller. I’ve tried pretty much everything I can think of short of reinstalling the game which I’ll probably do at some point this week.

Same problem for me to on PS5
It’s doing it on my hand control and my wheel I’ve updated the firmware on my thrust master wheel
its still doing the same thing I pretty much don’t use the brake pedal at all as the engine braking is so extreme in to the corner hopefully they bring out a patch or something to fix it

Thanks for the reports here and the extremely helpful videos. This has been reported internally and we're investigating.

Has anyone noticed this happening on any other track other than Indianapolis? Every video I've seen seems to be on that same circuit.

Yea for me it’s every track and ever car. It’s just that Indy was the easiest to test and see with straight lines.

It is also occurring on PC (at least with Logitech G923 wheel & pedals). The instant you reduce acceleration you also get braking applied

I don’t suppose there’s any way to extend the trial time is there? I spent quite a lot of mine so far doing tests and settings and videos across forums and Reddit trying to find a fix etc, obviously I’ll wait for the new patch and test too.
