As a "desperate" measure, I uninstalled the game, and reinstalled to my C: drive.

This also failed to allow online play.

I must also apologise to @CM_TGK as I inadvertently  upset him with one of my previous comments.

I was not having a go at the support community here, just the Devs. 😉 

The game is not working so it is normal that we are upset. They are very well paid workers and ea still makes this type of unplayable games. It's a shame!
