In my case I'm running an i9 9900K which is only about 15 to 25% utilised so I'm definitely not CPU limited.
I should however be heavily GPU limited but that is definitely not the case. On another Forum a developer has said that a GPU optimisation patch is on the way, can you confirm that and do you know when it will be made available?
So the patch is out on both Origin and Steam and it's made zero difference in either version. GPU is still not being fully utilised even if I push the resolution to 1440p the GPU still only gets 88 to 91% usage.
For reference all other games are running just fine so it's not an issue with my card so there's definitely an optimisation issue with this game.

Welcome to Codemasters games. Dirt Rally 2.0 had the same problem you guys are describing when the crowd is set to high/ultra. The crowd shadows basically were the issue. In more crowd heavy parts of the stage the GPU usage would tank low and cause stutter. Only present on Nvidia GPUs, AMD cards were fine. I reported to Nvidia and they confirmed it, but never got fixed on driver end. I'm guessing because it was a game issue. It's still present to this day. This game I can't even play yet due to that annoying license check failed bug I'm dealing with.

You could brute force Dirt Rally 2.0 to a certain extent though, whereas this game is flat out broken for a lot of Nvidia users. Weird thing is some Nvidia cards work fine like the 3060Ti and 1050Ti but a lot of other cards are doing the same thing as my 980.even the 3090 is having the same issue so that really is a problem.- 4 years ago@Ax4xNelly I can't even play the game through origin, continue to get a "license check failed" error and EA and Codemaster don't seem to be doing anything about it as they haven't acknowledged it at all so there's no surprise Nvidia customers are being * on too
