My TX wheel and TH8A shifter work on xbox Forza 7 without issue, but I load up Grid Legends the shifter doesn’t work at all. Control is changed to manual with clutch in options and isn’t set to sequential. When I am sitting at the start line my RPMs rev up but when I depress the clutch and try to shift the gear stays in neutral.

I have been using my logitech G920 steering wheel on grid legends for a while now. I don't mind the flappy paddles on the back of the steering wheel but I wanted a more realistic feeling gear shifter, so I bought the Thrustmaster TH8A. It's all set up, my laptop recognises it but I can only get Grid legends to make my steering wheel the primary device and I can't set the gear shifter as a secondary device, so it always wants to use the flappy paddles as the gear shifter. Is there a work around for this or do the two not work together in grid legends?
