Hi,the game is fantastic, but it’s extremely easy. You can win races easily in the hardest difficulty level even if you don’t know the track.It’s so easy that it seems a bug. Will it be addressed in future updates?

I started this thread during the 10 hour trial. After a week playing the final version, finished the story mode and working on the professional career and multiplayer, I must say that AI is really tough. Really really tough. Don’t know why of how, but this is solved.

Agreed, i know many players who only race against the AI that are reluctant to buy ATM...

@DavidHurt2 @Konanbelgium Interesting! Is that with all the many assists on or off please? I enjoy AI racing too due to friends' timezones. (I haven't EA Play.)

@DJ_Englishman The second to high difficulty (only because i drive automatic).
So assists are off,except one but that slider is set to 1 (can't remember which assist)
In career it's better,but just slightly.

@DJ_Englishman All the assists off, cockpit cam, still too easy basically 20 drivers are slow, one or two a a little bit faster

@Konanbelgium @DavidHurt2 Thanks. Hopefully they'll tweak it post launch as needed, unless it's part of a natural AI difficulty/time progression curve? Especially as plyrs can upgrade too, and I'd much prefer a challenge!

@DJ_Englishman not part of natural AI progression, because you can try it in custom race. Just set up a custom race with legend difficulty setting and try

Hey all,

If you open the game menu while you're in the race, what difficulty does it show? I saw another report recently that mentioned the game menu showed it was on Hard difficulty, even if it was set to Legend before the race started.

I'm curious if that might be what you're running into as well.

I agree it feels easy. I played story mode on the default ‘medium’ and it was a walk in the park apart from the last 3 races maybe.
Now I started on hard for career and this feels decent, I can still win easily but I’m also in the slowest cars (rookie part of career). I expect things will get harder as I progress. But this “hard” difficulty really is what “normal” or “medium” feels in other games.
i think they best rename the difficulty tiers and add a new one as extra difficult.
easy => very easy
medium => easy
hard => medium
… etc
