v1.06 Patch Discussion

I still have a 'new' yellow circle marker on my STORY tab, though I finished all the campaign already.

Sponsor bug is not fixed. I still have unredeamable sponsor (Kompass) which says 3/3 and I'm not able to select it, it just sits there with one out of three objectives completed.

I'm going to pick a new sponsor now and see if I'm able to complete it... so far I failed with Equita Oil and Kompass.

EDIT

After finishing one sponsor event from ROOKIE / GRID CHALLENGES, all my previously completed ROOKIE events are marked as 'new'.

Also, my garage and team tabs are also 'new' and I have to uncheck everything AGAIN.

You didn't fix that one at all.

So ive just tried out post patch on PC and absolutely nothing I hope would have changed has done! For a triple A title this is just a joke!

1. Engine sounds are still way too low. It destroys any immersion this game tries to bring with such a poor audio experience. CM usually nail this so I ain't got a clue whats happened there!
2. When I select Headphones it just defaults back to Speakers
3. My sponsor's Objectives are still out of sync and have incorrect values so they cant be completed

4. Mechanic Pass is completely misleading and you still have to grind too much just to unlock Tier 2 Upgrades!

Im kinda done with this game now. Ive been waiting for an excuse to buy GT7 and after this patch its made me realise they are not listening or prioritising anything worthwhile so as the dragons would say....im out!

The Grid games are usually pretty good out of the box but Legends is a buggy mess.

The G920 button issue should have been patched asap IMO and raises the question around what, if any, QA/testing took place before the game shipped. Obviously Codies have a bunch of the most commonly used wheels around the office and the G920 would fall into this category. So either Codies didn’t test the game with a G920 which is POOR, OR they tested it and knew the buttons didn’t work and shipped it anyway - also POOR.

I note the VERY LOW engine sounds have not changed following the latest patch so I’m presuming this is a design choice - that is, to kill off any immersion. I can’t believe there is not more noise about this actually. If anyone here has played Grid 2019 you would surely agree that the engine sounds in Legends are inferior, yes? It feels completely lifeless driving in cockpit view currently.

I have been around since the TOCA days and have bought every TOCA and Grid iteration to date, but with the amount of bugs in Legends and poor design choices - engine sounds, removing in game leaderboards, qualifying and custom championships, I think I’m done.

Just wanted to quickly mention that the patch 1.06 has not resolved the issue of Xbox Series X shutting off randomly whilst playing Grid Legends. If anything, the shut downs are occurring more often ( at least that is how it is for me after the update: 4 hours playing session today of Grid Legends and had 3 random shut downs of console).
