Re: Anybody there EA???

EWWW! Just like EA Rory.  They probably have decided to keep the server going for close to 10 years and call it a day.

Agree here. I noticed a trend that current EA PGA Tour lost gamers and has been abandoned much sooner than EA Rory. I would not be surprised if the servers last less than 10 years for current game.

Since you have abandoned the game once again. You have basically killed a potentially great game. People are quitting left and right. So thanks again for ruining all your games as usual.

You people never learn. Well I do. I will never buy another EA game. You always half * it. And th n come out with a new game. And repeat the same crap. You have a good game. But you as usual stopped fixing the issues. And there are still many many many more issues to fix. And what do you do. You abandon it. I just want to say thank you. For screwing us over again. But it's the last time.

Are you abandoning the PGA game? If so why? It is far fair from being good. Don't you dare stop updating and bring out another game. I will not buy another EA game if that is your plans. Waited years for new golf game. And this is what we get? Same on EA.

Not only we told you many times, it was even linked to you. The CEO at EA downsized the company, laying off some 670 employees.  He is no longer wasting his time with games not making money, those like golf were cancelled and abandoned.  There will not be another golf game. He is now making only games where he can sell millions of copies, or expansion packs like for Fortnite and the Sims.

Maybe he'll get it when this place shutdown next month.

It looks like in the new forum, there's a place to discuss other EA original games. That's probably where the discussion for this game will end up along all the other dead games.

Qu'ils ferment pas les serveurs, ce sera déjà bien. Car sans eux, le jeu sera injouable sans le craquer.

    ---

If they don't close the servers, that would be good. Because without them, the game will be unplayable without cracking it.

I'm not worried about the server, the one for EA Rory made in 2015 is shutting down next week after 10 years.  Tiger Woods 14 shutdown late 2023 after 10 years too.

What stopped working after 2 - 3 years or so in both games, it's the tournaments. For some reason, they were working again for a while in EA Rory before stopping again.

From what I read elsewhere, it looks like 2K is shutting down servers of 2K21 and those of the old The Golf Club too this year.  I think all courses are on the servers, at least all the created courses from users.

    ----

If the servers have been empty for 6 months to 1 year, even if a game is only 2 or 3 years old, I find it coherent and logical because the players who have deserted the game will not come back as if by magic.

But if a game still has a lot of people still connected. A framework of loyal players and all the servers close at the same time, I will find it SHAMEFUL! Even after 10 years. You should not do this to people who love a game. It is a profound lack of respect.

Les serveurs ne fonctionnent pas éternellement, et ils ont besoin d'entretiens. Ça craquait de partout pour Tiger Woods 14.

At the end of the day, servers have a lifetime, need regular maintenance and they won't replace one for a few players after 10 years. We had to find ways around the terms of services loophole in TW14 to play it online, and many just gave up.  PC users are complaining for all kind of issues as it is, and Microsoft keeps making updates. It's not going to get any better.

In my opinion, I'm not talking about that. I'm saying that it's not normal, in terms of the game, that servers are online for career mode, challenges and others. I don't care if I'm the first or last in the world to succeed in a challenge or to progress in my career. It's not normal that for offline modes, an internet connection is required. Generally, it's enough to modify one or two files illegally for a game to be playable offline again. Dishonest on their part, not on mine.
