Re: Ball hitting pins

well I see the last update did nothing to help this issue

today I had one bounce twice then hit the pin and it went 40 ft to the right,

right in the drink.

this was all on a short 100 yard shot.

I agree, while what is happening can happen, it only would on a ball that hit flush on the flagstick. Too often I am seeing the same thing.

And what is worse is that it happens as violently on finesse shots around the green. In fact I deliberately hit away from the flag with flop shots. Chip shots seem to be less of an issue.

They really need to provide us an option where our caddie can tend the flag for us within 50 yards of the pin. For both putting and the short game to alleviate these flagstick issues.

It would be nice to see my caddie more.

  • It used to be a cool thing to hit the flag, but like OP said it’ll throw a wrench in your next shot. Maybe a nerf would be nice.

I’ve hit more pins in the last 3 days than I have the previous 3 months.  Just today alone I hit 2 in the same round on 18 hole pro tournament.  When you’re trying to play birdie golf to keep pace with the top 10, hitting pins doesn’t give you any chance to recover.

hitting a pin = at least 30ft away next shot

  • I have seen some of the most ridiculous bounces off the pin to the point where I think I may have started deliberately aiming around it to avoid that disaster.
