Thanks for the additional info, Can we give the following a try?

Repair your game via the EA App - Repair (Library > Tile Dots > Repair)
Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
Connection and Advance Connection Guides
Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
Close other running applications on your device
Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates

Not solved, not accepted solution, just was busy. Did all the suggested processes, again, and still crashes exactly as described. I can play other modes, play a different character, but I don’t want to invest time in another character only to have it crash that one as well.

To confirm you can enter career mode on another character but just not your main one?

Do you play PGA on any other platforms with your account?

Correct, career mode can work currently work on different characters, though I haven’t played nearly as far into the career so I can’t say if it will freeze at the same point. Something seems to be corrupted with the cloud save in continuing the one past week 17.
