@SlimDown57Yes, it was sometimes doing that in TW13 and 14 which was funny and unrealistic. Most of the time, it was either hitting the pin and go in the hole or the ball would end up a few feet away like real golf. In a few occasions, it would end up with a bad result, something like I have just about all the time in this game.

I HATE THAT DARN PIN!!! OMG, every time during tournaments.

Oh yeah, I had a few bad words yesterday. I hit it on 9th at the weekly, ball came back all the way in the water.

I hope the next iteration, if there is one, has hitting the pin giving better results like in the TW series.

I did it again on the 1st hole of Random 6... ending up in the sand trap and costing me another stroke.

First par 3 on random 6 tournament, BINGGGGGG and way off the green again! I HATE THIS GAME

It's crazy how many times I hit the pin, at least once every time I play. It's always bad unless I hit it after a bounce.

You would think with 8 - 12mph wind, gust and RNG, this pin would be impossible to hit. I have probably hit more pins in this game than on TW14 in almost 10 years.

It didn't take long, first hole on random 4 Tour setting and I hit it again. Ending up with a 57 foot uphill multiple breaks putt at Torrey Pines. Crazy.

Felt fortunate of not hitting a pin, shot -5 and got out of that big Torrey Pines mess. OMG those greens are bad, info given are all over the place. Below or above means close to nothing on those greens.

First hole at the Random 4 tournament, hit the pin and my ball ended up down the ravine on the right side. 🤐

2nd hole on Random 6 at Augusta par 3, hit the pin and ball ended back in the water. Game Over. 😠

Good you could replay it, nice thing about this game giving you more chances after stupid stuff like that.
- Katybee_131312 months agoSeasoned Ace
Difference from hitting the pin or not, was a tie for 135th to a tie for 12th.

The replays are one of the good things about the game. I remembered replaying after hitting the pin. If the poster complaining about unlimited attempts got their way, the game might have been abandoned six months ago.

The biggest issue with hitting the pin, it ruined a round just about every time. It went from being friendly bounce just about every time in the old TW game to the total opposite in this game.
- PalomaMarvel2412 months agoSeasoned Ace
I remembered that Friendly bounce in the TW Series after hitting the pin. RNG is what made hitting the pin a total nightmare. It would be shocking if changes in the Notorious Update 3 also affected hitting the pin.
Time to fire the caddy he should be removing the flag for the close approach shots.

Same crap again, hit the pin on the last hole of the Random 4 tournament, ball end up in the sand left of the green.
- PalomaMarvel2411 months agoSeasoned Ace
The last time I played, I either hit the sand or the water when I hit the pin. The only time I get good results hitting the pin is with a chip shot since shot is not strong.
- Katybee_131311 months agoSeasoned Ace
I just played the weekly pro tournament, hit pin twice on par 5 with one going in the water... costing me 3 strokes and finished tied for 161. 😠
I can't believe how many times I hit those darn pin in a RNG game.

I've taken to aiming slightly to side of pin (side depending on green slope) or hitting low finesse approaches a bit short so I can spin towards holes. Not gonna score magic numbers due to less chance of holing out, but a lot safer.

@Mark_Miwurdz, This is what I try to do too, but somehow I hit them anyway. On the second hole on Random 4 at Banff today, I had 12mph and that blue arc is moving all over the place. I ended up hitting the pin and off the green. How wild is that?
- Katybee_131311 months agoSeasoned Ace
I'm hitting a lot more pins than I made hole out, I make maybe 3 or 4 hole out a week in this game.

I did the same thing in aiming ball slightly away from pin when I last played. However the pin still had that magnet due to RNG. Chambers Bay and Wolf Creek are notorious for having the magnets at the pin. I remember having no issues in TW14. I think flag position can be modified in TW14.
