  • There is no longer a "days left" countdown for the pro pass. I guess the last update was the final one? A little disappointed, but not surprised.

@lolwhat1234 who knows, there still is another major left after Pinehurst so we'll see, I would doubt it as well though. -EA- just buried themselves...

It means they have abandoned this game, this is it.

I agree Kat, it's game over. When 2K does that, we know this is it and they're working on a new game. With EA, who knows, maybe there is no new game or the next game won't be until PS6.

Believe this pro pass is going to run through two seasons given the length of both, thus there is no end date as of yet.

@-Roasted513-  yeah, the seasonal has a timer just like all the other tournaments. They Daily and Weekly are all on rotation and it's going to be the same for seasonal. After this season, the next one will switch automatically to Troon for the Open championship. And after that, it will switch automatically to East Lake, this game is done.  If there is no marketing news for a new game early 2025, we will know EA has totally quit golf again like after EA Rory.

@Katybee_1313 and this is a shame, when this game plays well, it's good, IMO better than 2k, (2k is clunky, too much speed on everything)
I've always liked the EA golf games and I played up to 2010, (messed around with Rory but nothing ever online)

A new game is the only opportunity to make major changes. They can't change everything on a one year old game like this one, everybody is used to play this game the way it is.  With a new game, they could change swing mechanic, RNG, the way online works, adding the two created golfer couch mode, and more.  It's the 5% workforce layoff that worries me for the future of this franchise.

Absolutely agree here. I am rooting for College Football 25 to be highly successful to generate revenue to support the next PGA Tour iteration. A new iteration is the only way the fixes in RNG, putting and erased scoreboard can be fixed. This can also be an opportunity to incorporate great features from the TW Series. If EA makes the next iteration, it needs to be for 2025 since the devs can learn from past mistakes and make a better product. If they wait for 8 years like in Rory, the mistakes would be overlooked.
