Re: PGA Tour - Crashing during career mode

@xdavid27xBand-aid fix for us with this issue that someone said in another thread.  Delete the save file and open PGA Tour back up.  Your character is stored server side so he is not deleted.  Once you select him go into Career and just choose where you left off.  Understand its band aid but at least we can play as our guys again that we have worked up to be so good. I am just restarting on the tour and starting week 1 - I was about 2-3 weeks away from the Masters in my first season.

  • @GumpWV so essentially just deleting your save file. Once you open PGA back up it will require you to re-select your settings and everything like you never played the game. Once you get through that your character will be there to select. Select them and move on.  Go into career and restart.  Your stats and all will not be there, but at least the LOCK is off and you can play the game. Restart wherever you like.  I chose the PGA Tour week 1. Your stats and currency are where they were.

I guess where in my directory would I go to delete the saved game files?

  • I’m on Xbox series s, went to game and manage files.  When I deleted everything it resynced everything and it froze again at the 4th round of the Genesis invitational.  I’ve reinstalled the game and anything else you can think of and it’s stilll freezing.  Am I dodging anything wrong when deleting files?

Anyone know which game files i should delete on PC?

  • My Problem is, there are no game files on PC. That's the reason I have to set all settings again every time I start the game.

  • Bump.

Don't make me do a social media bump bot as I will end up forgetting about it and you will get tweeted this every hour until the Internet dissolves

Documents> PGA TOUR>settings> there should be 6 folders with different number and letter combinations. If you click on a folder there should be an INDEX file and a DATA file. For me, there was one folder with only an INDEX file there was no DATA file. I deleted that folder and restarted the game. It let me progress through the menu and start a new season. Hope it works for you!

  • @Kobi5 What do you see after Documents> PGA TOUR? There should be 4 folders.
    Crash dumps
    Screenshots
    Settings
    Shared data

  • Coming from an IT background, I wouldn't delete anything as that'll likely further corrupt the game. For a game that is already badly corrupt, probably not whats best. EA needs to get their act together.

Honestly i'm just replying to keep this issue near the top of the list where is belongs.
