Re: PGA Tour 2023 - Lost progress after crash

In career mode. It shows correct level and points for my avatar, etc.. but when you click Career Mode it says "Where do you wish to begin". I know the game does backups after each hole completed, so how do I restore to one of those backup points?

Hi @4c00c461aed36c78 you can try seeing if any files can be pulled from Steams cloud save feature. If not the save might have been corrupted and unrecoverable. 

So the game doing a backup after every hole..is only good so long as that ONE backup file is good? TBH, that's a pretty poor backup strategy, why not have rotating backup log files that skip to a new one once it reaches "x" size. You should be able to look in a directory and see multiple backup files going back in time and restore back to a point in time. By progress lost....I pretty much lost the entire season as the season was up to the British Open. 

The solution...just in case anyone is looking is bittersweet. It's not a "Steam" problem. When you bite the bullet and say screw it, let me click PGA and go from there, you get Error Code 23. That's an EA game error. The solution is to start the game, then while the game is running, open up "\Documents\" on the PC and delete the folder "PGA Tour". This will then clear the error and allow you to restart your PGA career. You will still have your clubs, tokens, pts, ranking, etc...put that season is lost and you start from scratch.
