Re: PGA Tour unable to start a private match

Product: EA SPORTS PGA TOUR
Platform:Xbox Series X
Summarize your bug When playing a private match on the series x, we can’t get a game to start with only 4 people. 3 people works and more than 4 works but for some reason when exactly 4 join, the game kicks us all out
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Get 4 people to join a private match in the series x version of the game.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game kicks everyone out.
What do you expect to see? I would expect to see the game starting like normal.

See above, we cannot start a game with exactly 4 people.

Hi,  the message we get is that all players are kicked out of the EA servers and we have to reconnect.  This has been happening lately with 4+ players, tonight it happened with 5 and then with 6 players, but it worked with 4 players.

It happens when the person setting up the private match sends out the invite in the game to all the people in the xbox party, when we all accept the invite, the last person to join will cause all the other players to be kicked off the EA servers.  I don't have a video of it, but I will try to get one next time we get on.  It is very strange and random.  It is frustrating because it only happened after this past update, it was working perfectly before.

    HI @cordeezy28

When you have a moment, can you and your friends try the following steps and check if this continues?

    • Quit the game and other running apps from Quick Resume (For Series X|S consoles)
    • Remove any connected device, or additional USB's from the console then restart the Xbox and check
    • Check for updates
    • Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
    • Open you're Xbox NAT Type
    • Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
    • Persistent Storage
      • Go to settings > Select Device & Connections > Then Blue-Ray
      • Select Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage
    • Alternate Mac:
      • Go to settings > Select General  > Then Network settings
      • Go to advanced settings > Alternate Mac address > Select clear
      • Select restart

I’ve tried all of this (except “persistent storage” as my Xbox series s gives has blue ray option in device and connections settings).
I used to play private matches with 4 people all the time and sometimes even 5, now anytime the 4th player joins, everyone gets booted back to the menu.
What is the issue? My Xbox is up to date too.
