That got it. THANKS! Dunno why, but creating a new user account as ADMIN and then setting the game and EA app to run as ADMIN fixed it. Got in and played a hole! of course now I am experiencing all the bugs everyone else is.... controller being jumpy, menus being laggy, framerate stufff.. sigh.

Sounds like more of a work around then a fix

Same issue so I followed the requirements on this threat but nothing is working for me.

I've tried creating a new account and nothing works. I cannot play this incredible game (had all the previous versions, BTW).

I cannot believe this! I can't play offline since my account isn't verified. No account can be verified. I've tried old and new email addresses.

What now - just keep playing 2K23?

And check back in a few months, or whenever you guys get this issue resolved???

I have this issue as well and have done all that's been suggested with the previous correspondent regarding running both apps as administrator, setting up new Windows user and running that as administrator as well. The game still won't launch,. Sorry, but this is really, really, really, REALLY unacceptable. If this game was on a Mac I doubt I'd be having these issues. Not even close to being good enough.

My game worked until the last patch. Now it won’t load. Why?

I'm also running into this issue. The game launched for me fine until about 2 days ago. Now I can't get it to launch. Very, VERY frustrating.

Alright, figured out a fix for me. I had to uninstall the EA app, then reinstall. After that, I launched the EA app and launched the game from there, rather than from steam.

I found a resolution for me, maybe this will help others.  Same issue here, start the game, small window opens in the upper left of the screen but shortly it flashes up full screen and then minimizes.  Won’t stay “up” if I try to maximize it.  Running Win 10 with a Nvidia 3060 card. I set up compatibility mode to Windows 8, and run as an administrator. . .no change.  Then it hit me, maybe it’s a resolution setting.  Lowered display setting to  2560 x 1440 and tried to launch the game.  It worked!  Have been playing it for 3 days this way and no issues at all.  Maybe this will work for others.  🤞🏼
