Every shot i take i get a slow response, i don't know what to do.

Are you saying the controls are slow to respond as if you have input delay?
I have the same issue no matter which swing speed i select. I also over swing everything, the input delay is terrible. On PC with same monitor and controller it is much more consistent. Xbox version is borderline unplayable
- @jitter77 I'm playing on xbox and I have no problem.
I'm playing on tour difficulty every drive or iron is slow no matter how fast or slow i move the stick. If i try to move really slow and steady my golfer just stops swinging and resets. On PC my swings are still slow, but not as bad. Also the screen matches my stick much better when i start moving the stick up. My PC is really old i7 2600s and rx 570, but my swing is much better on pc with same controller and monitor. I also have controller hardwired in both instances
- @jitter77 I don't understand because i'm playing on the hardest difficulty and everything is fine.
I don't know... To put in on perspective on xbox in about 40 holes with finese shot, a couple power spots, and max control i made 3-4 birds. On pc with a new golfer in 6 holes i made eagle and 3 birdies. Xbox just seems very sluggish and non responsive

When you mention the screen matching your stick, are you talking about playing on Xbox or PC?
Are you using the HDMI cable that came with your Xbox? If you play on a TV in game mode instead of using a monitor, do you have the same issue?
Screen matches stick much better on PC even though my PC can barely run the game. I have not tried on a TV and I'm not sure if it's the original HDMI cable, but it is a high quality hdmi cable regardless. My monitor is only 1080p as well.
- @EA_Aljo Just a guess...Would this be solved in settings?
Have you checked that you have vibration turned off in your XBox settings? That is supposed to make a big difference for the fluidity of the swing.

Do you have the original cable your console came with? Any premium cable should be fine, but this is really important so you should make sure.
Can you try on a TV with Game Mode enabled? You are absolutely right...100%. Even if you read reviews from gaming magazines online they specifically mention the delay. It is a problem and you are 1 of MANY that have that problem.
Plus, the mechanics are just strange. The "Driving Challenge 2" mentions hitting a long drive which equates to a driver+power of 100%+a fairway in regulation. Well, I hit 2 but I can't seem to hit 5 in a row to save my life. I believe there are a couple hindrances, 1) what the hell constitutes 100% power??? And 2) there is literally no detail about the ACTUAL swing mechanics. Pull back and forward tells me nothing about the speed, power, etc factors.
Plus, I feel.like I swi g the same apeed every time but the indicator tells me power is +.2% then +.4% then -1.5%...ON THE SAME STYLE OF SWING?!?!?! What in the world is wrong with this game.

Yup, I find there's also a whole lot of randomness to everything. I'm about ready to pack it in and get a refund from MS and maybe revisit the game after some improvements. The swing of your actual golfer is slow, the swing mechanic itself is wildly inaccurate and there seems to be a randomness built in to make you hit offline shots. I've lost track now of how many times I've seen the swing feedback meter show perfect/perfect yet my ball drifts off target left or right. Try and hit one down the left side of a fairway... perfect/perfect on the swing yet there goes the ball drifting off into the rough, or always seemingly conveniently enough a bunker. The best is doing it in a practice round with mulligans on, hit one that goes left/right despite perfect/perfect, then hit another same shot, same spot perfect/perfect on the swing and it's perfectly straight. Go figure. There's a randomness that seems to be programmed in to dictate off target shots regardless. Then there's the sheer madness on Xbox of trying to always get perfect/perfect. It's always a bit slow, or over powered etc. etc. It's just poor mechanics all the way around.
I want to love this game, it's beautiful... from the courses, to the presentation, the sound all of it is great. The mechanics though and the camera settings? Awful. IF you could take the other golf game's mechanics and put it into this game... perfection.
Hi there. Very disappointed after looking forward to the game so much for so long so discover that the swing mechanics are incredibly laggy and slow.
Backswing seems to suffer from severe input lag resulting in a very frustrating slow swing. Swing system should be very fluid like PGA TOUR 2K23. This issue has forced me to stop playing the game as it is so frustrating.
I believe the backswing is going to be the same speed whether you quickly take the stick back or if you slowly bring it back. I just bring the stick all the way back, wait for the animation to hit the apex of the swing where the line is then flick it forward. Seems to be working for me.
THIS!!! Exact same problem. On PS5. No matter where it is on that shot meter, my shot is constantly "slow". Running on 120FPS-able game mode, although your game is only capable of 30 FPS. No input lag with any other game. The only way I can get to about ".8% slow" is starting my downstroke at the apex of the curve which shorts me from 100% obviously. Absolutely a broken mechanic. Please fix ASAP. Pretty embarrassing honestly.

What does the swing plane line look like though? This will affect the ball path even if the power and timing are 'perfect'. I've been trying to decide for myself if there is still some randomness built-it but this is definitely a factor, as you'd hope.

What swing speed are you currently using? If it's not 'slowest' then reducing this should help. You can chage this in your golfer's 'Identity' section.
I'm having intermittent input delay on PS5, which causes over swings, snd slow wring speed. Tried with 2 different controllers, plugged in and wireless
Bro you need to push the stick forward fast to get 100%+ it took me a while to figure out as it is not explained anywhere. But driving challange 2 is bugged i hit all 5 but don’t unlock the last star
I'm using the second fastest. It's almost always 1-2 percent slow
Not vague at all, super straight forward. Every swing any of us make, you get SLOW. Every. Single. Time.

I'm on pc and I never hit a perfect swing either. either my tempo is off or I under or over swing. Its hard as hell and I can count on my hand how many times I've done it. Its much much easier to do when putting. That being said the game still plays great though. At least its not hard to go straight with the analog stick. lol
The randomness is definitely a real thing and intentional for sure. And sure does make you wonder how so many guys just hit perfect shots every time eh? lol

For what it's worth I play on PS5 where I hit a mix of slow and fast, with the occasional perfect. I'm very definitely not a top player though.
