Re: Please allow us to reset Career Mode

The easy solution would be creating a new golfer.

If you want to keep it, you may try deleting your local save file. Golfer level, items, currencies, and online stats will remain on your account and you only loss the career progress and saved settings.

  • I closed the game

    Simulated whole season

On the season settings page I press back and I went to the career start selection screen

It worked twice but I cant replicate it everytime its just weird

  • I found it (please fix this ea)

So you need yo create a fresh new character

Next go back to the character you want to restart the season with

Simulate all the way to the PGA season all the way to WEEK 29

     - close the game

    -Get your fresh character

Go to "where do you want to start your career" screen

    -go back

    Get your other character

Simulate the rest of the season

On the PGA season setting page, go back

Andif you did that correctly you are back on the where do you wany to start your career page

Can anyone confirm if this actually works?  I started at the USGA and now seeing that the only option is to play 4 rounds per tournament... I don't have time for that and can't see myself sticking with this game that long to be honest due to the slow swing mechanics.  But I'd rather restart in my career mode, but I've already unlocked many attributes and my golfer is at an 80 OVR.   I really don't want to delete the character and start from scratch again.

There's got to be a better way to just reset/restart career mode with a created character.   If this works and only the career mode disappears by my golfers stats/attribute upgrades stay then that's a nice workaround, but I don't want to delete it if it's going to make me restart.  I'd probably just delete the game at that point rather than start all over.

That's not the easy solution as it means rebuilding all your attributes you've already earned.

So on Xbox SX I tried this trick, when I deleted my profile data from the console only I restarted the game and my career was still there, so was my golfer.   I closed again then deleted my profile data again but this time selected "from everywhere" not just "console only" restarted the game and my golfer was still there but my career is now restarted.

Come on EA, it shouldn't be this difficult.  Just give us the option to reset/restart the career mode.

This is a * poor deaign decision. My skills are fine, the limitation is in using points to unlock profiency. The game looks great, but handicaps you at the start. I can read a green, but unless you spend points, your gonna suck. Let my skills dictate my performance, not the amount of pounts i put in a caregory. Thats reserved for RPGs, not sports games.

it's absolutely ridiculous that this is what it takes to reset your career, also it feels like I'm triggering a bug to exploit. but I just did this and can confirm it works. not sure how you figured this out.

@Benoetius Okay... I could not get this work at first. There is a set implied but not stated.

When you switch players on the last step it will show you with your original player with what appears to be no change. From this screen click on back and it will give you the original menu.
  • Does this reset the coaching challenges? ‘Be deleted from every bit of game data I can find local and cloud and it never resets.
