It's been a long time since I played this game. I'm pretty sure you mean the 3rd hole at Wolf Creek. Not holes are meant to be easily birdied.

This one plays more like 3.5 strokes. But it is possible to birdie it... from what I remember I don't think you can get there with a stock character and a 3 wood.

Things get easier once you max out your character. 

The good thing about EA is that it lets you play any group of holes you want. Just set up the hole and test what works.

But I think you are right, without a levelled up character, it would be a tough ask.
