new pogo mini golf not golf madness

I need help with activating my booster balls in pogo mini golf I have 3 of each type of ball but can't activate them

    Hey there, @vwest123888.

    On the Course Preview page, you can select the balls you want in your basket by clicking on the ball. If the ball is not recommended for that course, it will warn you ahead of time so you don't waste the ball. For example, on courses without water hazards, it will warn against using the floating ball and ask for confirmation if you still want to use it.

    From there, once in-game, you can select the ball from your basket to use it. You'll know it's selected by the blue highlight circle around the ball and your ball should change color in the game, as well.

    I OWN several "booster" balls, but I am not allowed to add them to my basket unless I PAY for them.  The blue circled ball is ALWAYS the standard golf ball.  It shows that I OWN 25 magnetic, 2 floating, 3 off-road & 3 invincible, but I am NOT ALLOWED to add to my basket without using gems!  This should not be so difficult especially to a senior citizen who has been a Club Pogo member for over 20 years!  Just like in Peggle after spending extra $ I finally got through an impossible course that I tried for OVER A YEAR, I got through it, just for it to make me have to do them all over AGAIN.  What a waste of $ to be treated like dirt.
