PLEASE HELP - MISSING GEMS
I tried "contact us" and the chat option but I keep getting an error message. My account was HACKED by my five year old while I was at work. I don't know how he managed to make six separate purchases in games and I don't even know what games it was in, but I was shocked to see he spent 363 gems!! I have been a member since around 2004 and never had this issue. Is there any way to get them back or to lock it so he cannot purchase these when his dad is watching him. I told him he cannot play the game when I am not home until I figure it out. I hope you can help me. I might make him his own account to play the simple games. Also, my MERGE game has been glitching all day and not saving my progress. I left a message about that in the forum, and I believe it's being worked on. Merge Academy: I would like to share some feedback regarding the Special Challenges, including the most recent “Sugar Rush” event. Unfortunately, I have never been able to complete all of the required challenges. Between the lengthy recharge times and the limited number of items available once recharged, it feels nearly impossible to finish unless a player is online around the clock or purchases additional power‑ups. Additionally, the challenge begins very early in the morning for those of us on the East Coast, which results in lost play time while we are still asleep. Extending the event duration by even one additional day would be tremendously helpful and would reduce frustration for me as well as for many other players. Have to bet a total of 50,000. I bought in 4 times early this morning. Played a long time with those purchases too. Stopped to take a coffee break and came back later to discover ZERO progress made towards that 50K. Not only affects the daily but also that 7 day challenge. Also, can't seem to claim my 4 (maybe 3) awards! Unfortunately your progress could not be saved. Wasting my coins for daily! Not getting rewards I've already earned. I've been playing Bejeweled Stars for a long time and wait patiently for the new levels to open up. However, the new levels are so difficult that I am continually spending a large amount of coins to finish a level. Geez, throw me a bone once in awhile. This is getting tiresome and costly to play a game I enjoyed for many years. I challenge game mods to complete a level without spending. In Jungle Gin, when did it stop giving you points when your opponent quits the game and leaves? I have been within 10 points of winning quite a few games lately and the opponents leave! You are constantly losing your connection...and it is NOT my internet. Are we going to lose all our mini items in the future?
I had difficulty finding a mini item of mine and thought it had been removed from my inventory. Finally, I found it but the thought of one missing mini item made me think about the possibility of losing all our existing mini items at the NEW Pogo website that is evolving. If our mini items are made from Flash or Java code, there will come a time before the end of 2020 when they will need to be converted to HTML5 code or will be retired and an entirely new line of HTML5 mini items created instead. So, are we going to lose all our mini items in the future if they are made from Adobe or Java code? There are 2 things that I enjoy most about the Pogo website. One is chatting with friends while playing games here. The other is using my mini item collection that I have accumulated over the years. I am sure I have over 1000 mini items. One of my pet peeves at the Pogo website is that the mini mall is not producing new items and not recycling old items like before. So the issue of mini items is a very sensitive issue for me. I do understand this is a difficult time for the Pogo website because of the situation that Adobe has created by ending its support of Flash code at the end of 2020 (essentially 1 year from now). I also know that it would be much easier to create a new line of mini items with HTML5 code than to convert thousands of old items to HTML5. If Electronic Arts decides to eliminate all our mini items without replacing them with similar items, then your problem becomes OUR problem. The Pogo website has changed so much in the past year that it's not the same anymore. Taking the next step and removing all of our mini items will make it significantly less recognizable. It will be like looking in the mirror and seeing a different person for each of us. The Pogo website name may be the same, but the feel of the website is being lost. The response I am anticipating from the EA community managers is either no response because of negative backlash or a reply such as "an announcement will be made in the future". Either response is to be silent on the possibility of bad news that is coming next year. I’ve been a loyal player of EA Sports Canasta for years, and it's seriously disappointing to watch how rampant cheating has become in the community. At this point, it's not even about "a few bad apples" anymore. It’s an epidemic, and it's seriously starting to erode the integrity of the entire game. If EA continues to ignore this issue, it’s not just going to damage the competitive spirit — it will start to taint the company’s reputation. Here’s why: The Rise of Cheating: It’s no longer rare to encounter cheaters in almost every high-stakes game. Whether it’s bots, card-counting exploits, or players using external tools to manipulate results, it’s becoming unbearable. The company’s response? Silence. The worst part is, the community has been reporting it for months with little to no action from EA. Why This Hurts the Game: Cheating ruins the core of what Canasta is supposed to be about — fair competition and strategy. When the best players aren’t rewarded for skill, the entire leaderboard system becomes irrelevant. Even more casual players are being driven away, and EA’s reputation for producing quality, competitive games is being questioned. Is this the new normal for EA Sports? The Impact on the Community: We’ve got a toxic, under-reported problem here. Players who refuse to cheat are getting frustrated, while cheaters laugh their way to the top, unaffected by the broken system. It’s leading to a huge drop in engagement and genuine passion from the community. It’s time EA stepped up and did more than just turn a blind eye. The company needs to start enforcing stronger anti-cheat measures. How is it possible that such a huge gaming giant can allow this to continue without any significant consequences? I want to hear what others think about this, but if you’re also seeing this same problem, let’s call it what it is: EA’s failure to protect the integrity of their own game. Today, I saw the notice that three games are being retired: A Way with Words, Anagrams, and Quinn's Aquarium. This genuinely came as a shock to me because Pogo just sunsetted a bunch of games semi-recently and because Quinn's was notoriously one of the most popular games. The elimination of games after Java obviously made sense, but with the cries of players everywhere yearning for the traditional game files to be revitalized...Pogo and EA have been extremely passive when it comes to their fanbase. Worse still and yet, perhaps most notably, the newest games are going to be similar to Solitaire Home Story, Viola's Diner, etc. which again, players have been VERY vocal in saying that these types of games are not desired. The stylization is more juvenile, the gameplay tends to be more similar to what one could get on thousands of other sites, and they are all driven by a similar building structure. Rather than getting to play at your own leisure, there are energy requirements and the focus shifts to buying in-game items. Essentially, it seems to be a desperate appeal toward younger generations and gaining more money from in-site purchases. Part of their message included the following quote: "Retiring older titles allows us to focus our efforts on building exciting new experiences and continuing to strengthen the Pogo platform for the future." However, in reading the message, the vast majority of people are constantly noting their plans to cancel memberships (if they have not already). The forums are bursting with pleas wishing for how the site and games used to be. The newer games could just as easily be retired to focus their efforts elsewhere, but they choose older games for some bizarre reason. Even then...Quinn's still had some components of a building-based game, albeit with unlimited energy and a much preferred interface for the majority of us. I cannot fathom why Pogo has to sunset it; they could even just leave it there to play infinitely instead of washing it from the site. There is no resolution to this that I myself can provide, nor anyone else on this platform, I am sure. I more so needed a place to lay out my thoughts, which I know many of you share based on some other posts. The website now holds barely 60 games, many of which are subpar & that players dislike (or may be neutral toward at best). With one game being sunsetted after another - and with such poor, glitchy, juvenile, basic games replacing them - Pogo is shifting to a site that I may no longer yearn to frequent.mwstar198 days agoSeasoned Hotshot605Views29likes26CommentsMerge Academy - The scoring doesn't make sense
The scoring of this game is so backwards. If you calculate the return on investment for the customer orders, you make fewer purple gems the larger the order. The most efficient way to progress through the levels is to just convert some of the items you produce directly to gems. For example, I have an order for a "Phone of Magic" and a "Table of Spells" that yields 161 purple gems. The cost for those items is 3072 energies. That's a little over 19 energies per purple gem. On the other hand, a "Magic Folder" costs 4 energies and can be directly converted to 1 purple gem. So, if I ignore the order and just convert "Magic Folder" to purple gems, I can get 161 purple gems for 644 energies. That's about 1/5th the cost. In effect, the scoring penalizes you for playing the game. I had to reset my browser settings for reasons not relevant here. When I tried to sign in again, I was not given the opportunity to enter my credentials; I was only given the option to sign up for another account. I have paid for my membership and want to access what I have paid for. Trying to reset password, or reset account are not working. And the support options are ridiculous in their lack of answers. I hope someone here can assist. I just want to access my old stuff: playing for close to 20 years is a lot of progress to lose. Thanks for any help. I hate the fact that you have decided to take all the hidden object games off but two. For all the money i spend on this site, i should have those games to play!!!!!
