Re: Gifting pogo gems

I think that this in an issue of utmost importance for your company to figure out.  A person should be able to gift gems or at least buy a game for another person.  Doesn't sound like you are making an effort to keep up the community and friendships.

  • Hey there, @catfisht1.

You can gift a badge to a friend by going to the Find a Badge list on Pogo Classic. There will be an Add to Cart button and a Give Gift button. You'll want the second button to give the selected badge as a gift.

Thanks for the feedback, @pippa605Uk. We really appreciate it. I'll pass it along to the Pogo team for consideration.

    Hey there, @catfisht1.

Due to legal considerations, we do not currently allow you to directly buy Gems for a friend at this time. However, there is a way you can send your friends Gems if you buy them an EA Game Card. These $20 EA Game Card cards can be found at game stores, or even your local grocery store. Using the code contained on the card, you can purchase either 275 Gems, or 3 months of Club Pogo. You don’t even have to give the recipient the card that you’ve purchased; you can simply give them the code from the card once you scratch it off. Then go to our EA Game Card page to cash it in.

The question I have is why you cannot gift the gems or buy a game for someone using your gems.  Even if you swapped two gems for one who would it hurt as the gems are already paid for and it would be a nice gift to find in your gift box that you did not anticipate.  I think it is a waste that my sister has 200 gems, is going to leave POGO and I can't get them from her and I have ZERO.

    Hey there, @catfisht1.

While it's not possible to gift Gems directly, it is possible to gift things like Mix n' Match badges which require Gems to purchase. Alternatively, as mentioned, there's the option of the EA Gift Card. While that's not the same as the Gems currently on the other person's account, it can be helpful in granting new Gems.

What would she need to know to gift the mix and match games that is all I want to be able to do?

It would be brilliant if we could actually win gems playing the games. Not everyone can afford to keep buying them for challenges or power ups.
