I totally agree with you mawmaw98player. The most popular games have been dropped like pool, texas hold em, dice city roller which took over a year to bring back and many other games that had a lot of members playing them. Now almost every game is either a hidden object game, a solitaire game and the competition against other members has been removed. Before Pogo killed all the java games, there was at any given time at least 55,000 online playing Pogo games. Now it is down to 27,000. Has Pogo learned from this ? I think not. What Pogo seemed to miss is that many leagues ran tourneys in Pogo and competition was a key element. Not to mention game friendly chat rooms. I used to play many games for hours on Pogo, but now there is only 3 or 4 games I like. Also Pogo has gone money hungry, having to buy power ups and such. EA has not been a good edition for Pogo.
The games have to be written to the new format. Pogo didn’t kill Java games, the makers of Java killed it. Same goes for Flash. It’s not Pogo’s fault. Membership prices haven’t gone up in years and you are not required to buy power ups (I never do). As far as leagues go, Pogo doesn’t creat them it was up to members to do that. Also, EA has owned pogo since 2001.
