If your city is legit, that does NOT keep you safe. If your team is not legit, you too can be penalized
Be careful who you play with.
And be careful who you play against. If you play us, and we know by how you play that you are cheating, we WILL report you.

@debfer this isn’t about cheating — it’s about a server error that EA has acknowledged. I think most people agree with your stance on cheating (I certainly do). However, that is not the issue of this thread.
Ok. I'll grant that there may be server errors. I did not say any did cheat. I said the penalties for cheating are getting stronger per EA.
3 out if the last 4 teams we have played, at least a couple if the individual players were cheaters. I am beyond frustrated. I've been playing over ten years, and the cheaters are running amok.
Thank goodness EA appears to be doing something!
This is not about cheating it’s a server error and no the city’s have not returned as the error continues.
the club I was in was also fully legit we have reported cheaters in the past.
So jumping to conclusions about cheating is incorrect.
@debfer Thanks— just want to be clear for those experiencing the same or similar issue that may come across this thread (hence why I posted the specific error code) that this thread is not about cheating or cities banned due to cheating. Rather, it is specifically about mayors like myself who experienced a loss of our cities due to an EA acknowledged server failure.
From my original posts one of the initial signs that this was a server issue was in the minutes leading to the lockout, the market was moving very slowly to display items for sale. The war that I was in, moves had a very long lag time. Then, once the error message appeared, according to my teammates my city was still visible on the war map through the end of the war. That’s not typically what happens when cities are banned for cheating (they’re completely removed from the war map and look like a crater).
Thanks for sharing your experience and perspective on cheating — like I said, I certainly agree with you and share your frustration on those who aren’t playing fair and square. However, let’s please keep this thread focused on the specific server failure several of us are still suffering from (now on day 7).
