I completely agree.
The recent changes, and persistent connection errors, are just making this a chore rather than a fun distraction from every day life.
Half my team have given up with the CoM/ Mayor's Pass.
I'm capped now until next Wednesday so there is absolutely no point doing any assignments. I didn't buy the Premium Pass because of the cap. I'm really not interested in the 'reward' buildings as I have no space in 5 regions to use them.
I only ever use SIMcash for war cards but the lightning wars reduce team participation so there's no point striving to get the SIMcash rewards either.
The "greased lightning" war now has zero preparation time and is of a reduced, but as yet unknown, duration. There is no point in participating when we are a global team in several different time zones.
Wars are no fun if people just arrive, drop an attack and leave as there are no other players around.
I've told my team I'll give it a month, until this season ends, but if a game is no longer fun then what's the point?
I've downloaded Designer city 2, and also Pocket City, which both look promising.
EA is just making the CEO Andrew Wilson richer (whilst reducing the pay of it's staff) and EA obviously don't care about player loyalty or satisfaction as long as the boss increases his $31 million pay packet year on year .
