Less shops….. more space “

I'm going to stop suggesting ANYTHING, because somehow when we all suggest something, we get new shops instead. I'm over it.

I don't mind the new shop so much as the impossibly and unrealistically expensive price tag.
The issue is price tag and then prices of the items

If the shop didn't cost 250,000 gold to build, and then 450,000 to upgrade the first time, I wouldn't complain that much.
But honestly, the shop is useless fluff.

It's not new unless you were not playing the game in 2020 (seasons 9 & 10) That's when the Bureau of Restoration first appeared. Back then it was in use for a limited time and did not cost 250k plus I don't recall having to pay 450k to upgrade it so that I could make stained glass. Now it's a year round thing and they have really messed it up. (To say the least)
If they want to add money sinks into the game, that's fine, but requiring it to do f2p content is absurd. It damages the play experience and has the opposite of their intended effect on the vast majority of their playerbase. This is one more shop I'm not going to build. It's one more piece of content I'm going to skip, and skip, and skip in Contest of Mayors. It's one more residential area upgrade I'm going to skip and skip and skip and skip. Trains were annoying, but at least they eventually offer some form of reward for using them. This is just more dead content clogging up the game and another constant reminder that they care about none of the players, and only target 1% of the wallets.

Another problem is based upon the description of the latest app update, the developers seem to think there is something fun about producing items...
Let me clear the air, at least for myself....
Creating items has never been and never will be fun.
