Today SimCity BuildIt was updated with a new feature - Club Wars.

That is correct, some of these clubs get a lead and then hide under shields. I’ve messaged the developers feedback saying buildings should repair automatically after 6-8 hours so clubs can’t do that. It’s a cheap move and makes the wars less fun. Our club intentionally doesn’t put people under shields so we can keep attacking them as they repair, just don’t put them under shields and they can’t hide from you! We’re 9-2 and the only clubs we’ve lost to seem to be in the top 100 or so, I’ve seen at least one of them in the top 100 rankings, I wouldn’t be surprised if your club is one of the couple who beat us, what’s the name of yours lol?
There definitely needs to be a timer so people can't hide under shields indefinitely.
Also, the war prizes are minuscule compared to the resources a city needs to put into the war items. The output or rewards does not justify in anyway for entering in the competition. The only thing is that it is a part of com and the prizes there are much greater especially in mega league. The tasks are also random so if you happen to get a war task late in the game, when war is over, you are screwed. EA definitely needs to fix it where people don't get it because it is not possible to have com without war due to the long cooldown period. The only way is to hop clubs.

I have posted a screen shot of one of our battle scoreboards. Although some of our members were unable to make time to score large, as you can see we have 100% participation and everyone is having a blast. We have had higher scores but everyone in our club having time to attack is difficult.
Rewards are; good times had by all club members. Also many of our members have unlocked some very good attacks. Gold chest chest rewards have been hit and miss for worth of effort but gaming shouldn't be all about the rewards.
No shield timers! Why would this even be a reasonable thought? If a club member is unable to play for any length of time during a battle a shield timer would make this one time inactivity a massive point loss if there was a shield timer. Also how would this be helpful unless repairs were then also completed with the use of a shield timer? How about energy bonuses if repairs were done quickly, most players will shield duck until energy is refilled, slowing battle. Last battle we were in I was attacked 53 times and completed 156 repairs, it would have been nice to return attacks a bit more.
Time zone matchmaking would be nice. We have had a couple battles where the opposition half way around the world and gaining points against these mismatches is frustrating. Once everyone is bubbled battle is over for the day and the same must have been an issue for our opposition.

These mechanics were designed to force clubs to work together. Many of my war shipments don't have the items I need but others members do, collect as many war items as possible via shipment and/or repairs and buy-sell-trade them. Currently our team has excess of ruber boots and ammo crates but this will be short lived once better attacks are unlocked.
You don't like war games? Then don't press the war button, problem solved. I don't like any part of CoM, try to find my two page complaining post. Not every part of every game is made for you, lol. Not too many "center of the universe" players in here at all :-P

My proposal simply says if a city has launched an attack they have X time (8, 10, 12 hrs - doesn’t matter) to fix their city - if not then the city is repaired automatically with no war items awarded and the bubble goes away - this eliminates the stall tactic which takes away from the game. As far as the situation you referenced where a player is out of place, a decision has to be made either you’re in or you’re out - if you’re not going to be available then don’t attack, if you do you’re fair game. Fortunately it’s only a proposal and just my opinion. Thanks
Well, as we can see in this thread, it looks like some people are having fun playing War with SimCity. I still think it's a shame that EA had to ruin SimCity BuildIt just to make another War Game, because they aren't hard to find. This was once a nice friendly place to get away from stress and relax with a clever little logic planning game but apparently it was just too difficult for EA to improve the Store functionality and now you are all killing each other. Good for you, I guess you must deserve it. But too bad for SimCity BuildIt.
