Following my earlier comment,
My club has decided to reduce number of wars to 4 a month and concentrate on at least one COM and try and get those chests which let's face it, are worth far more for city building than the rewards you get after war.
I think war would have been better executed if you had made it a separate part of the game. I wouldn't even have minded if you had to earn currency to take part.
But as it is: war items take up space in the main storage, you need to build items to get war items, so city building comes to a complete halt.
Is this not a city building game first? Well it should be.
If you could make war a separate part of the game, and make it more tactical, it would be a welcome addition, but right now, it's just a necessary evil. Dr.VU is just a necessary evil lol.
Forget war, I would love you to add the following PVP ideas
1. Assisinate the city mayor ( you travel to another city and try to assasinate their mayor while he is travelling around the city visiting places.) Maybe you have a crosshair and you have to hit him when he gets out of the car. You could make special versions where a really important VIP comes to visit and you have to try and kill them.
2. Visitng someone else's city and liking it. Everytime you get a like on your own city, you earn a reward. The city with the most likes gets a reward at the end of a certain amount of time.
3. The opposite version of idea 1. You have to spruce up your city to impress a visiting VIP. You get so much time to prepare your city by positioning special buildings in certain places. Then the visitor drives around in a motocade and gives you thumbs up or thumbs down and you earn points for each. Cities go in a ranking and highest scoring city wins a prize or something similar to the current COM using this idea.
4. You get to redesign someone else's city. You propose a new design to someone and if they accept your design and switch it for their existing one, you earn so many rewards. If they decline, you don't earn anything. Maybe you have to pay so many SIMS to accept and that's how EA monetizes it.
There are so many other cool things you could do other than war.
