Did you click the "I'm on it" button? It doesn't start counting until you do.
Make sure you know which token they want you to produce for that challenge. If it says produce 10 Llama speed up tokens, you will need buildings to make them and the same if it says produce 10 Cheetah tokens.
You just need to collect more of the SILVER tokens. I believe 6 of them will produce your FIRST Speedup token. So if the Llama request is for 10 Speedup tokens, then you'd need to collect a total of 60 SILVER tokens. It takes a while, be patient.
