The post by AmelieEA was regarding having the game installed on two devices at once, in my case I only have it installed on one device.
Also the error code AmelieEA report was 60002.504.999 while my error code 60002.503.999

I have been having this same problem, just started today. "Server timed out. Please try again. Error code: 60002.503.999". I have only used this game or had it installed on a single device (my phone), and now I can't get logged in, i just get the error code. I've spent way too much time building this city to just start over. If it can't be fixed, without losing progress, I'm out.
For what it's worth, I've seen an interesting issue on both this and the Simpsons Tapped Out app. Both will periodically say it looks like I've been playing on another device... but I haven't. A glitch, perhaps? IDK, but it doesn't happen often.
Please help this is doing this to me and I am not starting over I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on this game this isn’t fair this is the fourth problem first I had purchased real money 400k worth it kicked me out of the game and I had to start back at the beginning I emailed no return so I eat it then kicked me out of my club where I was vp finally get back in everything I purchased was gone and storage was empty then it did it again wiped my money to 0 now I am getting this message please help me
