Friends disappeared

Question

In my city all my friends that were there yesterday have disappeared. I asked my friends and they can no longer see my city but can still see other cities they are friends with.

When I use their city code to invite them, I get a message saying invite already sent. The same happens if they try to invite me again.

I tried logging out of Facebook and back in but my friends didn't show up

Thanks for the pointer but my Facebook was already set to friends and most of my friends where added via the code path not via facebook.

I had a new person send me a friend request and I never got it. It shows on their add a friend screen as waiting for response.
