Me and 2 other friends are facing the same problem. The market is mostly showing donuts, watches and disaster items (we are all 30+ XP level).
First I thought it was a bug, but then I started visiting the cities selling those items. I ran into a quite few accounts that seem like bots. They were all named "Rising Sun Valley", with completely empty un-built cities, "0" XP experience, with the mayor called "unknown mayor". Here's a snap:

Could these be bots farming?
