South Koreans having faster internet access is no excuse for poor functionality design. My issues with the Trading:
Unnecessary load times. Why do I have to first travel to another user's city just to buy said item? 8 times out of 10 when I arrive at another user's city, the items I was interested in are already sold. 1 time out of 10, the item will still be available, but when I go to make the purchase it's already sold. That means that 10% of the time, I'm able to successfully use the Global Trade HQ. Better Solution: Cut out the travel to other cities, let us purchase them direclty from Global Trade HQ
I can't find what I want. It's possible (likely) that supply & demand is playing into this, but I think there's still significant room for improvement. Better Solution: Allow Players to specify what item(s) they're searching for and show relevant listings.
If my items don't sell during the 5 minute advertising period, They sit in purgetory until either someone visits my city directly, or I list another item that lures people to my city. In the event I can't sell said item, I lose it. Better Solution: Refine system to facilitate quicker turnaround on items listed for trading. Allow Players to recover items that aren't sold to re-use, or at the very least, recoup lost resources.

For such an otherwise we'll designed game, the Global Trade system is extremely broaken. Trading is a colossal waste of time, traveling back and forth between others' cities and your own, only to find an item no longer exists and can't be purchased. If the this were a representative simulation, the Global Trade center would be bankrupt and out of business, easily beaten by competition with better product availability. PLEASE fix the flawed and practically unusable Global Trade system!

SimCity, it's time to part ways. It's never fun putting down a game you enjoy and have invested yourself in, but it's reached the point where the only option to expand my city area is to endure the fruitless back-and-forth nonsense of the Global Market, attempting to buy dozer wheel, blade and exhaust parts needed to expand city areas. I'm land locked at this point, facing the prospect of spending countless additional hours circling the Global Trade endless loop. Hopefully I'll see an update to SimCity BuildIt indicating EA fixed this design flaw, making the game worth playing again. Goodbye.

I had the same complaint. I enjoy the game but hated that as you progress, expansion items become rare. I decided to start over. Once I got to level 10 I quit leveling up and spent one week expanding my land to the max. I also bought and sold items to expand my storage to 240. Now anything I need I can make.
