11 years agoIn my opinion there are plenty of viable options for an efficient marketplace that have been successful in other MMOs. I think if EA wants to be unique in their solution, they could continue to force people to spend wasteful time in their game clicking in and out of the trade depot, up until a certain point. When i think of a trade depot(retailers and wholesallers) in real life, i think of limited selection, having to order in lot sizes determined by sellers, and needing to call or visit half a dozen operations to find a specific item. I think your current market takes there annoying market flaws and replicates them well. Where BuildIt's marketplace structure fails is in not allowing you to build a trade center, where specific commodities can be ordered from a well compiled list of sellers. All of the worlds largest cities have markets that deal with commodities (as well as securities, but please, don't add a security trading aspect to this game as i would literally never accomplish anything in the real world again), shouldnt we be afforded a more intricate and efficient marketplace for our burgeoning cities? Only one city i can think of has a Sydney Opera House, I could name around a dozen with major marketplaces that trade commodities. I think the most important byproduct of this move (keeping the old but allowing for marketplace expansion) is that your loyal crowd, who encourage people to play the most btw, would be comfortable still playing every day long after they would have peaked and burnt out dealing with the horrendously inefficient trade depot that stands alone now. My vote is for a better marketplace building to be available to build for a large pricetag, no lvl requirement. Im thinking 100000 gold, 15 gold keys, AND 15 cash. The details arent nearly as important to me as the fix itself. Due to the trade depot's advanced time wasting powers, I'm afraid the greatest free mobile game I have ever played will lose my interest. Please fix this problem before my hate for the marketplace becomes a hate for the game. On a counternote, thank you for this otherwise perfect mobile version of simcity! Simply educational and fun, as always!
