I'm fairly new to BuildIt and I was seriously considering dropping the game before I unlocked the GTHQ as there was so much time with no gameplay. One I got GTHQ the gameplay and fun increased dramatically, as did my city's expansion. The 30 sec timer has, as noted by many, made the GTHQ and thus the game almost unusable. I doubt EA is doing this intentionally to generate more money. It's well known that the best way to profit in freemium games is player engagement time and longevity. Good luck in fixing this EA, I'll might cruise back this way next patch.
