10 years agoI happen to agree with most of the posts here. As frustrating as the game is, I enjoy it. So here is what I did. I deleted my first game out of frustration. All the trade center was giving back then was Fu,s items and donuts. I was at level 36. I could not expand any longer. I started again, got frosted once again and deleted it again. This time I stop leveling at level 10. I spent two weeks buying and selling, making plastic and seeds and selling. I expanded my storage to 240 and bought all available expansion slots, then continued expanding. Now I'm up to level 50 something and nearly 1 million sims. At least I can contine because now I can make everything I need. Granted there are new frustrations like addeding new sims adds very little to the tax base. Expanding requires more parts or a constant reset of the plans until a reasonable plan set is provided. I have to smile when in order to build one building it will cost nearly 40-50,000 plus the cost of road expansion and city services while the tax base increases a whole 18 per day at this level. A real major would be fired. But. Hey it's just a game and a complete waist of time like most games.

10 years agoDid the same thing. Slow down. Every time you level up, more items appear in the GTHQ, making it harder to find storage and expansion items. By the time you get near 70000 population, you get a bunch of Dr. Vu's disaster items added, too. I stopped at level 19 to complete my expansion completely, build up keys and coins because Entertainment and Gambling come in the level 20s and just eat these up.
