How do I chat with other players

at one time ppl could add each other via google games acct. until EA removed it. so, you need to have your friend on your game friend list then you guys can chat. it does only work if you are on each other's game friend list. the other way to chat is you both in same club together fir the wars thing. there are special windows to chat for club wars thing. last but not least, you and friend both need to have the chat option selected. my chat option is off due to extenuating circumstances. hope that helps. i think instructions are under help option too.
