How do i delete saved city linked to Facebook

I link an old city to my facebook account but  now i restarted the game by clearing the data from my phone and now i can't link my new city to facebook, even after logout my simcity from facebook and then log in again

  • Just found out there is no way i can overwrite my Facebook acunt saved city for the current one (which is better), so i can't get to see my friends in the new city, it kinda sucks, even when i unlink in the facebook and logged in again with the new city i can't link my new city to FB. the Devs should make a way for us to do so.

  • No you are right. This used to work in an old version but not anymore. I did not know that when I posted that. But I am sure it should be something along those lines as to how to delete the game from Facebook.

@Wildturkmenistan actually I lost a city of 500 000 due to my very first attempt sucking, so I had started a new one and never realised that that second one didn't connect to my facebook so when I did have a phone error I just completely lost months of progress.

It's okay because I hadn't spent money on the game at all, but anyway it would be nice if it told me I hadn't protected the city I was working on

Over 5 years and still not fixed?

I'm surprised, being EA you would think they would want any way possible to get more customers..

i'm sure if they allowed re-starting, and replacing the linked city, they would gain more people...

I lost my city due to an error on their side, My market has stopped working, cannot view anything in any of my friends markets, and they can't view mine, can't join the same Group they are in, invites don't work etc... the game crashed one day, and that's how it was after, contacted support, they said I had a hacked version of the game (although it was downloaded directly from Google Play store) and refused to help..

When I asked in what way it was a hacked version, they provided no answer and no resolution to my issue, so I uninstalled, and haven't bothered since..

I wouldn't mind as much, but I actually spent money in the game also... >😞

  • I had the same problem. First I wasted my time trying to contact game support and Facebook. Don;t bother with that - you get the party line that the link cannot be deleted.  Then I went to Settings in Facebook and deleted the SimCity game. Nothing happened, no change. SimCity was still there as a deleted game. Then, about 2 weeks later, Facebook deleted the deleted game and I could save my city again. So, what EA tells you is a lie - the link can be deleted, and you can do it. The downside is that it takes a couple of weeks to make it happen.

One thing to never do in Facebook if you have multiple cities associated with multiple Facebook accounts is to associate your phone number and use Account Switcher. Because behind the scenes, Facebook overwrites information from one account across all accounts. That's how my problem got started, all of my Facebook accounts got associated with only one city.

  • @frank2243  Yes, on the 1st page of the post (now page 6) is the answer…sadly  it’s not what you want to hear. Good luck.
