How do you use a golden key?

I received the golden key from completing the cargo requirements, but have no idea how to use it. Can somebody help me please?

They are used to purchase the specialty services buildings AFTER youve purchased the HQ building for the given service. Example: Once you purchase the Gambling HQ with simoleons, you'll have unlocked other gambling facilities such as the casino. Tap on these buildings, place them where you want to build, then you'll be prompted to spend golden keys to build them.

The golden key is used to aquire certain buildings such as the schools, transportation buildings and such.

Exactly, better collect them as much as you can and when the game needs to spend them for something, then use the keys.

Yes but how do you use them as they just sit on screen?
