Hey Mayor, thanks for getting in touch!
Omega items are useful items needed to upgrade your Omega residential buildings, which have higher number of residents living in them and therefore contributing greatly to your city population growth. Remember Mayor, Omega homes are the main source of your NeoSimoleons- needed for purchase of Omega items from NeoMall in case you don't have enough Omega items made in your Omega Research Center.
Omega items can not be sold in the Trade Depot or NeoMall, as they are specifically required for the Omega Zones/residential buildings. However, you will get an offer from other Mayors to sell your Omega items from time to time. Just tap on the bubbles with Omega items on top of your Omega Services buildings and your Future Cities advisor will tell you what your fellow mayor wants to buy. Tap I’ll do it! to accept or No thanks! to reject the sale.
There are total of 10 future themed Omega items (Robopet, Antigravity Boots, Ultrawave Oven, Jet Pack, Hoverboard, Solar panels, Cryofusion Chamber, Holoprojector, Telepod, 4D Printer) used for upgrading your Omega residential buildings.
Should you start to run out of space in your Omega Storage, Omega items come in handy here too, you can always expand it using Omega Items (or SimCash).
As the results of item research in Omega Research Center can be unpredicted and can vary, it can happen sometimes that your Omega Storage fills up with items that are currently not needed for your Omega building upgrades. No worries, Mayor, simply ask the architect to draw up a new building plan by tapping the blue 're-roll' icon in your Omega building site.
This way you should have no trouble and always find use for the Omega items you currently have!

The expected EA response ... spend SimCash [= real money] to expand your storage.
Oh, they're clever. Be careful, kids ... this is the REAL world.

I have tapped the blue re-roll button over 400 times, and never got a new plan. Just keep getting the same pink mouse over and over again. No response from SCBI.
- Anonymous9 years agoSame issue here.
- 8 years agoPretty useless response. I've been generating new plans for several buildings for several days and none want what I have (or at least not in the quantities I have them). I need to be able to sell items! Or at least let me randomly generate "capacity upgrade required items" too!

Usually if you have over 60 percent capacity of omega items and are not doing an epic task you will get an offer to buy your omega items.

Start another omega building for free. Or several of them. Each will ask for just one omega item to upgrade at this beginning stage. If you have several of these you should be able to get rid of unwanted omega items just by upgrading. Then demolish the building and do that again. Eventually as you progress in the game you will want to go for 64 omega buildings. My game is level 80 and fully expanded. I've had no problem getting rid of unwanted omega items just by upgrading omega buildings that I keep. But demolish them after just one upgrade if you really don't want to keep them. The omega cash I use in the game is helpful and when all 64 of my omega buildings have been fully upgraded I will get 12,800 dollars daily to spend in the neo mall. 64 Omega buildings may seem like a lot but I still have 290+ residential buildings to upgrade to epic for the epic tokens which is plenty.
- Anonymous9 years agoYeah of course getting the type of Sim cash required also requires spending real money. Why don't you just create an option to sell Omega items at the neo mall or create an omega market. I understand this will cut into EA's profits but you'd have a much happier and less infuriated user. The Omega buildings are cool but the process to upgrade is tedious and way over complicated, and on top of that I rarely ever get the items that I actually need to upgrade instead I get boots. Every time I receive new items from the tube things that have to be converted in two different buildings that takes about 4 hours (smh). But back to the original point, my inventory is full of moon boots I'll try requesting new drawings that require that item, but it seems like you guys can and should tweak the omega system some. I know for one you'd have a much happier gamer here that would be more apt to play for longer periods if some simple changes were made.

I must be an exception. As soon as I get close to filling my storage I get a request, usually something I will need for an upgrade but I try spending the neosimoleons for different items. That helps.

I always get an offer as soon as the Omega storage has five or less free slots (it could be four). Just decline it if you don't want to sell those items and you will get a new one in a short while.
However, those offers are not visible while doing an epic project. Maybe that is what people are experiencing?

Except when doing the Mayor Challenge! The offers dry up instantly allowing you only to earn from taxes. When will you fix that glitch?

I love this game but have a complaint/suggestion.
It would add a lot more to the game if the Omega items could be sold as war items are or simply for sale from player to player. Every other product is available for sale by players except Omega.
Please take this under consideration as I’m sure others have submitted same request.
