Huge billboard

@asdespain, my huge billboard advertises for Carnival Cruises. Is this what your huge billboard shows??

I also have the smaller build board (first introduced within the past year) located near my market. This used to have an advertisement for Carnival Cruises, but now just shows a skyline image, w/ no text…

This monstrosity has appeared in my capital city and regions, too. Very unhappy about it.

My purpose in playing the game is primarily to create an attractive city; one that pleases me visually and looks as realistic as possible. This new billboard, which is now the largest thing in my city, has robbed me of this simple pleasure.

I've spent a lot of time and money on SimCity BuildIt and it's upsetting to know that EA can just come along and ruin it with one stupid decision.

EA: please reverse this terrible decision, and remove this awful billboard. My future participation - and spend - is depends on it.

Same here. I purposely left one parcel undeveloped for the entire 5-6 years I've been playing. I've probably spent $500 on micro-transactions over the years as well for my own enjoyment of the game - no complaints. But to slap down this GIANT billboard in my ONE empty parcel is beyond stupid. The hill on that undeveloped parcel was the perfect look for a land-fill that had been in-filled over time. I even put most of my waste management next to it to give the appearance of a modern land-fill waste site. The billboard ruins the whole aesthetic. 

I can understand the developers needing to find new ways to generate revenue but to do it on the backs of those who have spent what amounts to multiple copies of any console game is a slap in the face. 

I agree! One of the things I love about this game is that I get to choose when I want to watch advertising and for what incentive. If they put adds on giant billbaords that I can't escape I will stop playing the game.

Dear support team, after the last update, a huge billboard appeared in my capital, which spoils the picture of my city, which I do as I like. Remove it completely and return the original hill, in the place of which this unnecessary billboard was placed. 

[Edited toxic content] Who approved these enormous pointless billboards that just totally get in the way and look ridiculously out of place. I have been playing this game off and on for years, I put real money into it. I try to make my city aesthetically pleasing and semi realistic, now I just have what equates to a 500ft pointless billboard completely enveloping anything that is near to it. I was going to keep one or two pieces of land locked in my capital city so that I could keep the hills but I'm tempted to stop playing altogether if this is the random and pointless crap they are just going to slap in. Completely ridiculous!   I have spent years and lots of money on my capital city to now see these ugly billboards in the way. 

I'm not happy about it at all!   I build my city to look  as close to a real city as possible .  this has ruined  all the hard work and money I have put into my city. 

If any advertising ever goes on it I plan on complaining to advertiser. “I love your product but hate EA’s engagement with players…” etc. Will do more to make EA change than anything said here.
