if I put something for sale can I cancel it and get it back for me?
If I offer an item for sale in the simcity buildit trade depot, can I cancel it and get it back in my own inventory if it isn't sold?

No, sorry. Once you put it up for sale it is gone. If you pay $1 (Sim) to delete it, it just goes away. The only way to get it back is to have a friend buy it and sell it back to you if you can.
The best thing to do is leave it there and let Mayor Dan buy it or keep advertising it.
This feels like a design mistake.
It was so obvious to me that canceling a sale would send an item back to my inventory that I was really confused, then upset, when I couldn't find it there.
Now I've just canceled (and lost) an expensive order with a mis-tap of my finger and am pretty peeved. (I was frustrated enough by this "flaw" to re-enable my EA account to tell you about it)
