Increasing regional population- why don’t we get more simoleons?

When you increase your capital’s population, you get more coins from your bank. If you place omega buildings in your region, they function just like in your capital city. But when you build all other kind of homes in your regions, you get nothing apart from some regional coins at that time of upgrading!

There should be an improvement on this, e.x. regional bank that provides you regional coins on  a daily basis or those buildings should count for the total income in your main city.

Does anyone know if we get more simoleons on taxes (from the bank on our capital city) after increasing regional population?

It still seems that only the population on capital city count for taxes... increasing regional population  should be a motive for more income ....

Regions don’t pay tax and never have.

Launched this way, players complained, EA said they’d correct it.  Instead, they patched city hall to display your total population (including regions) but that number is junk, it’s still only the capital that pays.

Is this fix in error, or a greasy way of telling players to step off?  We may never know.
