Layout Templates
Are there any sources out there for layout templates? I am only level 13 but I am having trouble getting efficient coverage for fire, police, and parks. Right now I am sitting at 100% happiness so ...

That 2million layout was more or less how I was thinking the road layout would ultimately end up being given the current way everything has to touch a road. My current layout is 90 degree rotation of that layout but with 4 cross streets forming 4x14 blocks. So I guess ultimately I will have to take those out so I might as well do that sooner than later. I'll have to check when would be best for me to do that. 🙂
I've someone on my FB that has 2.51 millions population, using a similar layout to this one from SC Buildit site.
It's efficient but ugly. The city looks fake. I took 4 screenshots of the person's 4 pairs of Universities. They all look a screenshot taken from the same spot.
If you are looking for an efficent but fake/ugly city, go ahead :P
My city for instance, has not a fixed and simetric street layout. I did group some residences to make mini condos that usually is not so common in real life, but I have vertical and horizontal streets.
Additionally, I have PLENTY of room for parks in my city. They give a nice look to the city and quite a boost to population. I've currently 650k (counting the destroyed buildings). I can boost this to 700k or more after all my upgrades from this area are done and with more parks. And that is half the map. I don't intend to reach 2 million. My goal is 1.5 million.
