man why do so many try to cheat at this game

First off, some people just don't wait to wait to get some stuff. There will always be cheaters or hackers in every game who are just impatient or sad people in a basement who don't know how to play a game.

Second off, please do not report videos of people cheating in the game on YouTube.

YouTube has no rules against people uploading videos of themselves playing a game where it is hacked or not. 

There are soooo many reasons why you want to cheat this game:

1. Time- The production of raw material to manufacture a product is time consuming. It may be lesser if your still in level 15 and below but when you bypass that level, the production of time gets longer which is very frustrating especially when you have a cargo ship/ plane to catch up. BUT in the other side there are speed tokens which you can earn in Contest of Mayors/ Epic buildings, this can make the manufacturing of products faster (the tokens does not speed up the raw materials tho) OR another way and another reason to cheat "The life and blood of the city", simelions or cash

2. Simelions/ Cash- the more you have it the more items you can buy. In a result, a growing city. Simelions can help you buy services/ specializations but only limited, the rest you have to earn golden/ platinum keys to unlock by playing the Contest of Mayors/ Cargo ship. You have to earn it (which makes SimCity fun and challenging). But the down side if you want special offers that needs cash you have to actually buy it or complete the mayor's journal (this gives you free cash YEY!, but it's not that easy to earn) and when I say special offer... THEY ARE SOOO NICE YOU JUST WANNA ACTUALLY BUY SIM CASH. Another example is rare items that can only be found if you complete cargo plains, pop bubble heads or there are kind hearted people who puts them in sale in the global trade. I forgot to mention money can speed up production.

3. CONTEST OF MAYORS PLUMBPOINTS- I just thought of this now but some people may want be in the top and earn points so they can have the top prize. I not really sure about this but if especially when your in a league and you don't have enough time to do the assignment and doesn't want to be demoted.. I guess you have no way out but to cheat.. (If you don't want to use the token or any cash.)

I'm a player for almost a year now and It never crossed my mind to cheat. We have the same opinion, where is the fun in cheating ? Also, maybe it never crossed my mind because EA is generous when it comes to giving products, cash, rare items etc. they have soooo many ways to earn it, that's the reason why I never have spend a penny for this game.

I don't think people are cheating. (The hack sites that you find in Google searches are all fake: they either don't work or they infect your machine with a virus). What people do is spend REAL MONEY. If you're rich, you can buy as much SimCash as you want. Then you can use it to instantly complete assignments, upgrades and just about anything else. Why anyone would want to spend real money to compete in a pretend city makes no sense to me, but it's the only explanation I can think of for some of the high scores you see in Mayor's contests.

agree cheating is not cool if one cheat get put into quarantine and no way out until EA decides your city is clean. innocent players for doing burger farming if make a lot of coins and goes over the cheat trigger find your city in another environment with no chance of buying from friends nor GTHQ the wider circle only have a small number of players  that come and go when EA finds you are innocent then returns you to the main frame, but others are there for life. I met one chap a president of the club, I think he's been on it so long He thinks it normal and has access to all friends depots and that. poor him.

I never cheated in the game not cool and I don't know how it's done and I don't want to know either. So I am another innocent that been caught up on cheaters Isl and I thought it would never happen to me but it did, must have been too lucky in the contest winning 2k and 4k simcash now and again, so I paid the price of success playing every week. Now I put in appeal on Monday in bugs was not the right department as they never fix it after 24 hours in the end I found was able to get in touch and they looking into the issue and should be fixed in 7 days time that be tomorrow I hope am back. 

So the question is why would this happen to an innocent player and, why take a week to put my city back when other issues are fixed a lot sooner say in a day or 2?

am good now they fixed the issue today it turned out my city was flagged for hitting the platinum threshold and EA help specialist on this has removed the flagged and I was paid 1000 simoleon coins for the inconvenience compensation. Now I can get proper help now in the contest
